When I was a rich kid, all I wanted to do was be like my friends, who had little but who made bikes, for example, that I would trade my $600 bike for. This was in the early 70's. Their bike, however, broke by the next day. I still hadn't learned the lesson of what I had. Bezos can't feel safe or loved. He feels out-of-touch. He can't trust anyone. Everyone only likes him for his money, his luck.
