This is a brilliant metaphor Turbokungfu. I think this cross-reference of the candy bar at 500 calories, vs. a four mile run, for example, forgets that the appetite is changed. Your aren’t looking for candy bars after a run. You are looking for clean, clear water with perhaps an infusion of cucumber or something like that. And sure I will allow myself licorce, for example, but generally the run makes me look at food differently, especially over time. And that candy bar really doesn’t show up on the figure radar. And even if people are troubled by issues, the run makes them think about other more pressing needs. IMO.
