Some of us align with the victims because we
have empathy.
We go down into the earth
and tread water.
The sky filled with an organic glow
deems the evening holy
and the blue speaks of hope.
Innocence turns on itself,
turning over and over
and the circle of time repeats
until we see the metaphor,
the connectedness,
the sign.
