The issue is not to scapegoat, but to defer to cis women's true feelings about the subject and support them. I agree that cisgender males can commit assaults anywhere and anytime and get away with it. That's not the point. The point is, in this specific example, how do cis women feel about trans women in women's bathrooms?

I have been in a bathroom and had an assumed gay male try to get inside my stall. I have had an assumed gay man grab me by the balls in a parking lot in the middle of the day. In the first instance, I chased him through the Speech Department Hallways at the University of Hawaii. In the second instance, I had hoped that a police officer was standing by, but he was not and the individual got away with it.

The bottom line is I don't give a damn about peripheral associations, the point is what are cis gen women's beliefs, attitudes, and values about trans women in their bathrooms? You don't answer that question.

You speak as a cis gendered man might about having the same right to use a cis gendered women's bathroom for whatever reason. My point, again, is how do cis gendered women feel about trans women using the women's restroom? Are you a trans woman? Is this your perspective? Is this your advocacy? Do you understand my point/perspective? As a cis gen man, I am not offended by not being allowed to use the women's bathroom, since it is assumed that I am not welcome there.
