The failure of sex robots relates to the fact that we are garnering love from an inanimate object, where who loves us validates us. A robot makes a mockery of us. We need a fellow human being to love and be loved by. Porn, for example, is unstable for that reason. You are ultimately alone, unloved, a mere observer, at best. A sex robot relegates you to disposable. Only an object with no feelings could love you. That’s suicide-provoking.
