Nice piece. It was dreamy. By the way my friend lives in Berkeley. I loved some of the terms you used, like “rock-hard” avocados. It’s amazing how close people are and why we have so much trouble dating. I swear we are all thinking basically the same thing. Last time I was in Trader Joe’s it felt like a mortuary, where everyone is picking out a coffin. We’re all so serious. I usually end up saying something, because as a writer, there is so much to say, but of course, I am not supposed to. I am the guy who squeezes the avocados, which I understand is a faux pas.
