Clorox is the New Kool-Aid by Mario Savioni

My concern is with the transfer of wealth, not the bottles of Lysol being bought, or the accumulation of conservative judges, which seems like an oxymoron. All those spoiled and greedy white men passing judgement, removing protections, opening it all up, so the money flows directly into their hands, just like how an oil well first gushes, and the oilman is covered in the juice from the land.

Instead, we are the little Emperors wearing no clothes and Trump is behind the curtain making us all think he’s so stupid: “Drink the Kool-aid, it’s yellow, like piss or clear, but it works, I tell ya! Drink it down, so you can go back to work.”

Meanwhile, the food rots in the fields, “those jobs are scarce,” (Pederson). People are literally holding their breath as their bank accounts empty, and the transfer of wealth continues. You won’t even be able to afford the shirt on your back. All someone had to do, was release a toxin in a Chinese wet market, and watch the fortune cookie crumble. I know there are people smart enough to know what would happen. That’s what worries me. I don’t know how to negotiate such a nihilist scenario, such grounds for hating life, except that the psychopath hates himself so much that he is willing to do anything but take responsibility for what he should be doing. The spoiled have an odd way of showing they are smart, which is always by doing more damage, always what’s easiest, until someone spanks them in the pants.
