In this area, and where I work, we are told not to wear perfumes because people are sensitive to them, and so I have been less inclined to wear perfumes.

This is not to say that I do not like the idea of picking a perfume that you love and which you would hope enhances or confirms your choice with that of the one you like. It is kind of like saying: "I am wearing this perfume, if you like it on me, perhaps you will like me."

I have always liked Chanel perfumes. I love the complexity and layers of scents inherent in the selection. For example, while one layer of Bleu, which I am not necessarily that happy with, the first initial scent, then moves to a softer smell.

I like Egoist and the others as well. The problem is in the store, my nose gets overwhelmed and it just becomes too much to differentiate, so I settled with Bleu of late. My all-time favorite is Acqua Di Parma. While it is not as complex as a Chanel product, it seems to fit me to a T. It kind of reminds me of Galliano with its licorice hints.

A simple combination lavender and peppermint as a spray that I got as a gift from work also blows me away.

Bergamot and grapefruit too, as a body wash blew me away, also a gift.

I currently use a sandalwood scented body wash that never seems to amaze me and that was all I used to use, but with your suggestions, I am going back to putting on perfume.

An ex bought me a L'Occitan product that is not what I thought I would ever wear, but for some reason it is growing on me.

I love that you affirmed my desire to wear cologne.

I also think it complements one's pheromones, in a way, fleshes them out.
