If you are interested, I could read a poem or two and give you my transparent feedback. But, as you know, it would simply be me responding to your work. I would be projecting my impressions onto the work.

Because you are young, you should not be questioning your work. You just need to write. I tend to be given great poems from time-to-time, and I mean that as a muse might whisper them into my brain or I might be inspired to write one.

Looking back, my advice is to simply to try to publish each poem in a journal that seems to have your type or style of poem.

I have only self-published and I regret not seeing the work in a journal, for example, because there it means someone else passed judgement on my work and found it worthy. Plus, your distribution issues are solved for you. Over time with publication, you get noticed more and more and this legitimizes you.
