I remember an article, which was arguing against the dangers of first person shooter games simply because the reason we watch certain types of movies, for example, were for good reason. The person with no control in their life watched espionage flicks, for example, and the person bored out of their mind, liked horror. Normal people aren’t “dangerous” just because they are watching these kinds of films, they are only compensating for the loss of adventure and interests they would have if our lives weren’t generally so void of adventure and banal.
