I like this “automatic defragmentation.”

I migrated everything over from my old MacBook. The SSD is more than half full. Long ago drives slowed with time because of fragmentation and degradation of the disk, but with macOS automatically defragmenting APFS volumes and SSDs being as fast as they are, there shouldn’t be a noticeable slowdown.

I like this “automatic defragmentation.” This should have been implemented years ago. My OS drive is full and needs to be repaired. I am waiting on the M1X iMac to transfer the data over as you have done.
