I have a light blue-gray color for the walls and I have a 6'x10' color field painting that is bright primary and complementary colors that knocks the staid wall colors out of the park. Otherwise, I have excellent original paintings done by relatives, my mother hung with Dali, my aunts were art professors in the 30's. There is a Hudson River Valley, a photorealistic dining table with green apples oil that I did, and a 7'x4' photorealistic pastel by Honolulu Artist Kelly Monis that I framed myself. The feeling being there is euphoric. But, I have to admit that I have had it looking pretty amazing before. It doesn't take much. Just being clean and organized is so important. The Zvieger kitchen photo and the Travelw/Shutterstock image, both look amazing.
