I do understand your point. I was in the theater watching the movie Irreversible and I looked over at a woman sitting a couple of seats over from me and she was visibly pulling her legs into herself and suffering the horrible depiction of a rape. While I was also horrified, I was able to intellectualize the event and her response, but I was able to garner shame for being so comfortable. I think there is something in these visceral depictions however. I will simply never forget that film and I compare it to situations I recognize in life like it where money and power seem to be the ultimate arbiters of who gets to do what they want.

I just want to say how great this piece is. It is very thought-provoking and well-done. Thank you very much.
