But, you aren’t cheating. There is nothing wrong with what you are saying. It’s telling the truth. People don’t like being lied to and want to be with people who want to be with them. Relationships are very simple. We want people, as you say, who we can write novels with. There is this really cute woman in my building. She makes me giddy. I want to write songs with her. I want to be with her sexually because of how she moves through space, how she feels visually. But, last time I saw her she said she didn’t remember me. I took that as the truth. I guess I am invisible. Should I be looking for an invisible woman? What’s complicated for me is how long this has all taken and what I want in a partner. So far, it’s felt impossible, non-existent, lonely. But, I will continue to write songs and sing at the lake. I want to be discovered doing what gives me passion and loved for being me, not for not being remembered.
