As you may be able to tell given the previous responses, I get into things that I can answer or do with passion. I spend hours in this state of articulating thoughts. Last night, I was singing in an open mic over Zoom a new song I had written the lyrics over an instrumental I had heard. The entire evening was a bit of a bust since the audio was poor and they could barely hear it. But, I felt good. On Sunday, I brought my speaker to Lake Merritt (Oakland) and sang a number of songs only to have instigated another musician and singer across the lake, who sang Radiohead and Nirvana covers as if he were showing me how it should be done. I think they were all laughing at me and did so as a response to what probably wasn't very good. I have to cue my iPhone to play songs on SoundCloud that I then sing over after cueing my microphone on GarageBand on the same iPhone, while holding my lyrics in one hand, (noting the wind), balancing the iPhone on my leg, holding a microphone in the other hand and trying to read the lyrics in the dark.

I do things that I love until I practically fall over from exhaustion.
