Agreed. I don’t need permission to cry. In fact, crying usually comes uncontrollably because something clicks, a culmination of emotions brought on by Mahler’s 5th as conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony, for example. Until then I am just an emotional zombie, who would crack a smile when someone asked me about what my father did for a living.
