A while back people were complaining about movies that depicted what is basically male fantasy. And obviously men were in control of the industry. Women would work in their kitchens and raise children, while men went to work and ended up dominating the world. People like Weinstein and Epstein took advantage of their power to ensure that they got exactly what they wanted. The industry was a way to access and entrap women, after all the only way to persuade human beings is to remove them from the general public and institute morays reinforced by the cult within which people are forced to adhere.

A while back, I was ready to argue that if people didn't like male fantasy, then they should make their own movies. And I imagine with a 60/40 ratio of women to men getting graduate degrees, at some point women may dominate the market and they will choose where they want to spend their money as consumers and as producers of film, just as the members of various ethnic groups will and have done.

When you look at the consumer breakdown of those watching films, you see what makes sense economically; in other words, where you should probably focus if you want to attract their attention and money.

And I figured if men no longer got what they wanted from films, they would go underground, which I kind of joked: If they tried to make porn something else, would you still call it porn? No, it would be something else.

Then the issue arises, do we need to get rid of porn and stop forcing actresses to perform sexual intercourse on screen?

Maybe we do.

I have mentioned this a number of times, the veracity of desire by men of having women, whether physically or in terms of pictures, etc., cannot outweigh or displace the discomfort women feel as a whole, and I would think that we would want women to feel safe before our own satisfaction or fantasies were engaged. But, of course, this is not addressing the reality of the situation. That veracity is akin to self-righteousness. Men are either going to control themselves or they are not. They have to make decisions about their behavior often against strong desires. It is an on-going, 24-hour process of restraint. The only way, I think, men are going to stop attacking women is when they think it is unmanly to attack women. It has to been seen as a weakness to attack or take advantage of women.

But, like you said, the female body is seen as public property. It wasn't until recently that I noticed how women are depicted on the Apple news feeds. It is by how they are dressed and how they look. Sports Illustrated, mainly, is focused on that. Whereas men are shown in a non-physical light and their accomplishments in their respective fields.

So, I agree with you. And the men will call me a simp, but I know better. Real men take care of women. They have mothers and they have sisters. We will see if I can maintain my discipline.
