1. The silent man may be listening.
2. The lonely man may be waiting for one need, sexual, to be met, see Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
3. The controlling man is out of control, in cases of alcoholism, for example. There is a cowardice, where he projects his failure to act on others, who demonstrate weaknesses he is keen to point out. Oddly, the “weaknesses” of those he attacks are not things they can change, like having to work jobs they hate or are not fit for. The alcoholic eventually dies, but the damage he caused remains. Just like a Trump, once abused now permanently vengeful and violent because of the abuse he endured. He cannot change. He cannot be reasoned with. He is broken and cowardly.
